Wild horses and grey seals mingle on the snow-covered sand dunes of this famous National Park Reserve. The Weather Network's Nathan Coleman took a winter journey to Sable Island off the coast of Nova Scotia.
When I signed up for a backcountry hiking experience during winter on Sable Island, I knew I’d be in for a smorgasbord of nature that would include everything from seeing the famed wild horses running on snow-covered sand dunes to grey seals nursing their pups. I ended up getting everything I bargained for and more, all in the span of a single day’s hike around a true Canadian treasure peeking out through snow-covered sand. Join me in the video above as I explore the amazing place where wild horses roam.
