Ontario ski hills to reopen as restrictions ease

Ontario ski resorts are set to reopen this month

On Monday, Ontario announced that ski hills can reopen under new rules once their public health unit transitions back to the province's colour-coded COVID-19 reopening framework.

Ski hills have been authorized to open in all colour-coded zones, including in health units that are in the grey zone.

Ski resorts were forced to close on Boxing Day due to the province-wide stay-at-home order. Weather Network reporter, Rachel Schoutsen, spoke with the Canadian Ski Council to see how resorts are preparing. Details can be found in the video above.
