Classic snowmobiles are a blast from the past for Nova Scotia riders

What's vintage is new for these riders. The Weather Network's Nathan Coleman checked out unique, vintage snowmobiles in Nova Scotia.

It's a bit of a bumpy ride on Matthew Higgins' snowmobile as he races across Folly Lake in Nova Scotia.

His motor sled doesn't have the greatest suspension, but that's because it was built in 1971. "[Snowmobiles] are a lot smoother now," Higgins told The Weather Network recently.

Higgins' snowmobile was on display at a vintage show and ride held at the Fundy Trail Snowmobile Club at Folly Lake.

"Some of these guys have upwards of 50 sleds. It becomes a passion," said Victor Brumm, show organizer.
