Nathan Howes is a digital reporter for The Weather Network. He covers breaking news, weather, environment and climate stories.
He has an extensive 13-year journalism career, which includes working as a newspaper reporter for nine years. Nathan has covered a wide range of topics over the years, interviewing numerous high-profile figures along the way including Peter Mansbridge, Bob Rae, Patrick Brown, John Tory, and of course, Pierre Morrissette.
Nathan is passionate about the weather and environment, both since he was a child. He read many books on weather growing up, and wanted to become a storm chaser at one point. His father ran a conservation club for 30 years, teaching Nathan the importance of caring for the environment by bringing him on cleanups of trails, rivers and roads, among other conservation activites.
