Potential freezing rain amount: 10 to 20 mm.
Time span: Tuesday evening until Thursday morning.
Remarks: Forecast guidance indicates a variety of wintry precipitation will likely affect the region mid-week. Precipitation is expected to begin as snow on Tuesday evening, with significant accumulations possible over some areas, before transitioning to ice pellets and freezing rain on Tuesday night or Wednesday. The ice pellets and freezing rain are expected to persist through the day on Wednesday and into Wednesday night.
Accumulations of snow and ice may create slippery and hazardous travel or walking conditions. Even small amounts of freezing rain can make travel difficult.
Consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the most adverse conditions.
