Description

What: Very cold wind chills of 5 below to 13 below expected above 3500 feet.
Where: High elevations above 3500 feet in Graham, Haywood, Macon, Madison, Northern Jackson, Southern Jackson, and Swain Counties.
When: From midnight tonight to 7 AM EST Friday.
Impacts: The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.

Recommended Action

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
