Description

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Snow Squall Warning for Eastern Wyoming County in western New York Northeastern Cattaraugus County in western New York Livingston County in western New York Northern Allegany County in western New York Southern Monroe County in western New York Western Ontario County in western New York Until 1115 AM EST. At 1013 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Caledonia to 6 miles south of Arcade, moving east at 30 mph.
Hazard: Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

Impact: Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 390 between exits 4 and 11. Interstate 90 between exits 44 and 46. Interstate 86 near exit 33. Locations impacted include Geneseo, Dansville, Letchworth State Park, Perry, Warsaw, Avon, Mount Morris, Victor, Honeoye Falls, and Conesus.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden whiteout conditions.
