Blizzard Conditions Continue Across Southern And Western Minnesota:

Travel Is Not Advised: .Light to moderate snow will continue through the rest of the evening and taper off overnight. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected on top of the 4 to 6 inches that has fallen today. In addition, strong northwest winds gusting to 40 to 50 mph are expected overnight, leading to a continuation of blizzard conditions in open areas of western and southern Minnesota through early Monday morning. A Blizzard Warning is in effect west of a line from Long Prairie to St. Cloud, the southwest Twin Cities metro, and Albert Lea. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the rest of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
What: Heavy snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
Where: Portions of east central and southeast Minnesota and northwest and west central Wisconsin.
When: Until 9 AM CST Monday.
Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
