Yellow Watch - Winter Storm
Hazardous winter conditions expected Thursday night through Friday.
What:
Snow and ice pellets with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm.
Freezing rain with ice build-up of 1 to 3 mm.
Reduced visibility in areas of heavy snow.
When:
Thursday night through Friday.
Additional information:
A low pressure system is expected to bring a wintry mix of precipitation to the area beginning Thursday night. Snow mixed with ice pellets or freezing rain is expected to begin Thursday evening for Red Lake and spread eastwards reaching Armstrong by Thursday midnight. At this time, it appears the area of heaviest snow will affect the northern most portion of the area.
Warnings will be issued as the event draws closer.
