...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers inWyoming...Middle Fork Popo Agie River near Sinks Canyon affecting FremontCounty..Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increaseriver flows.For the Little Wind River Basin...including Sinks Canyon, Riverton...elevated river levels are forecast.* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.* WHERE...Middle Fork Popo Agie River near Sinks Canyon.* WHEN...Until Monday morning.* IMPACTS...At 4.2 feet, Flow into the overflow channel from theSinks to the Rise begins.At 5.5 feet, Bankfull stage downstream of gage.At 6.0 feet, Water over low lying area immediately downstream ofgage. Lander emergency officials begin notifying land ownersdownstream of gage that major flooding may occur within 12 to 24hours if river continues to rise.At 6.2 feet, Cautionary sandbagging is needed along the river nearCity Park and 2nd Street.At 6.5 feet, Flood stage. Low lying property along Popo AgieEstates Subdivision south of Lander is under water. Severe bankerosion possible along Middle Fork Popo Agie River from City Parkto the Main Street Bridge.
