Flood Warning
Flood Watch
Another round of storms is expected to impact the area again tomorrow afternoon and evening. Increased moisture across the area will allow these storms to be efficient rainfall producers as they move through. There is potential for repeated rounds of activity, especially east of the Mississippi, where significant rainfall has already occurred this week. With soils already saturated and plenty of ponding across southwest and central Wisconsin, any additional rainfall will significantly increase the potential for flash flooding or areal flooding.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of central, southwest, and west central Wisconsin, including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Adams and Juneau. In southwest Wisconsin, Crawford, Grant, Richland and Vernon. In west central Wisconsin, Monroe.
When: From Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - Additional rainfall of .5 to 1.5 inches expected across areas where soils and basins are almost completely saturated from previous rainfall - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
