Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Wisconsin Kickapoo River at Ontario affecting Monroe and Vernon Counties. .Heavy rain has resulted in flooding along the Kickapoo River near Ontario. No additional heavy rainfall is expected.
What: Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
Where: Kickapoo River at Ontario.
When: Until late tomorrow morning.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Flooding occurs along the river in the Ontario area. Water may be over Highway P near Bridge 10, and also over Winchell Valley Road at Bridge 8.
Additional Details: - At 5:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 19.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:00 AM CDT Saturday was 19.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.7 feet this morning.
