Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wolf River near Shiocton affecting Shawano, Waupaca and Outagamie Counties. For the Lower Wolf Riverincluding Shiocton, New London, New London - Test, Lake PoyganMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
Where: Wolf River near Shiocton.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 12.5 feet, There is widespread lowland flooding. Water is surrounding structures along the river near Island and Mill Streets.
Additional Details: - At 7:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM CDT Sunday was 11.7 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.6 feet early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 12.6 feet on 04/02/2004. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
