Description

The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in Iowa Wisconsin Mississippi River at McGregor affecting Grant, Allamakee, Clayton and Crawford Counties.
What: Flooding is possible.
Where: Mississippi River at McGregor.
When: From Monday morning to Thursday, April 23.
Impacts: At 16.5 feet, Water may begin to go over the road covering part of Highway C near Highway 18.
Additional Details: - At 8:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.5 feet. - ForecastFlood stage may be reached late Monday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wisconsin River at Castle Rock Dam affecting Juneau and Adams Counties. Wisconsin River at Muscoda affecting Iowa, Grant and Richland Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wisconsin River at Muscoda.
When: From late Friday night to Wednesday evening.
Impacts: At 10.0 feet, There is extensive lowland flooding. However no flooding has been reported in Muscoda in previous years.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to a crest of 9.9 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 9.9 feet on 03/29/1935. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
