Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of central and northeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Marathon, Portage and Wood. In northeast Wisconsin, Shawano and Waupaca.
When: From noon CDT today through this evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are already running high and could flood with additional heavy rain.
Additional Details: - Radar estimates and surface observations indicate much of central Wisconsin saw 2 to 4 inches of rain on Wednesday so soils are very saturated. Additional heavy rain is expected this afternoon and evening, which could lead to more flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
