Description

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wisconsin River at Merrill affecting Marathon and Lincoln Counties. For the Wisconsin Riverincluding MerrillMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wisconsin River at Merrill.
When: From this evening to Thursday afternoon.
Impacts: At 11.0 feet, Flooding mainly affects Merrill area parks and agricultural land.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 11.9 feet tomorrow evening. Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Wisconsin, including the following areas, in central Wisconsin, Marathon, Portage, Waushara and Wood. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In north central Wisconsin, Langlade and Lincoln. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Menominee, Northern Marinette County, Northern Oconto County, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Marinette County, Southern Oconto County and Waupaca.
When: Through Tuesday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding will also be possible.
Additional Details: - Soils are saturated due to recent rainfall and rain across the area this afternoon. Multiple rounds of thunderstorms continue to develop across the watch area through this evening, and will likely produce widespread additional rainfall amounts of 1 to locally 2 inches, with locally higher amounts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wisconsin River below Whiting Dam affecting Portage County. Wisconsin River below Stevens Point affecting Portage County. Wisconsin River below Wausau affecting Marathon County. For the Wisconsin RiverWausau, Whiting Dam, and Stevens Point Minor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring.
Where: Wisconsin River below Wausau.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 1169.0 feet, Up to 2 feet of water is surrounding an apartment in the Oak Island Park area and a business in the DC Everest Park area. Up to 2 feet of water may be surrounding homes along the Big Rib River west of Wausau along Sherman Road.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Eastern Marathon County in central Wisconsin Portage County in central Wisconsin
When: Until 900 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 555 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wausau, Stevens Point, Weston, Rib Mountain, Mosinee, Whiting, Bevent, Amherst, Plover, Rothschild, Stockton, Schofield, Knowlton, Ringle, Norrie, Birnamwood, Jordan, Hatley, Rosholt and Evergreen. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Description

At 607 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northwest of Wittenberg, or 15 miles southwest of Antigo, moving east at 40 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Antigo around 620 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Birnamwood, Norrie, Hogarty, Hatley, Eland, Aniwa, Elmhurst and Mattoon.

Recommended Action

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Report severe weather to your nearest law enforcement agency or the National Weather Service office in Green Bay WI. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Monday for a portion of central Wisconsin.
