Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Wisconsin Sugar River At Brodhead affecting Rock, Green and Winnebago Counties.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Sugar River at Brodhead.
When: Until late Monday evening.
Impacts: At 7.5 feet, There is widespread agricultural and lowland flooding in the Brodhead area. Downstream in the Avon Bottoms area of Rock County, there is flooding in Sugar River Park, Beloit Newark Rd and S Hopkins Rd. In Illinois, Winslow Rd is threatened near the river between Durand and Shirland. Low lying areas of Sugar Shores Camping Resort may be inundated.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 6.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM CDT Friday was 6.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 5.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 7.7 feet on 02/06/1927. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
