Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Sauk and Columbia Counties.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in WisconsinIllinoi
S: Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Kenosha and Lake Counties. Wisconsin River At Portage affecting Columbia County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Baraboo River near Baraboo.
When: Until Saturday afternoon.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, If Wisconsin River at Portage up to 17 feet also, water approaches gravel of I-39 off ramp to Cascade Mt Rd. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land.
Additional Details: - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 16.7 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.6 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.6 feet on 02/27/1985. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
