Description

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in MichiganWisconsin Menominee River near McAllister affecting Marinette and Menominee Counties. Menominee River near Vulcan affecting Dickinson, Marinette and Menominee Counties. Menominee River near Niagara affecting Dickinson, Florence, Marinette and Menominee Counties. For the Menominee Riverincluding Vulcan, Niagara, McAllister Moderate and Minor flooding is forecast.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Menominee River near McAllister.
When: From Monday morning until further notice.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Floodwaters are covering River Drive and Shore Drive west of Wallace in Menominee County, Michigan and South Park Road east of Porterfield in Marinette County. This stage compares to a flow of 24240 cubic feet per second at White Rapids Dam.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.7 feet and rising. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above minor flood stage Monday morning then rise above moderate flood stage Wednesday morning and continue rising to a crest of 18.5 feet Thursday morning. - Minor flood stage is 15.0 feet. Moderate flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 18.6 feet on 04/18/2023. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
