Description

The Flood Warning remains in effect for the following rivers in Washington Stehekin River at Stehekin affecting Chelan County. For the Stehekin Riverincluding StehekinMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Stehekin River at Stehekin.
When: Until early Monday morning.
Impacts: At 20.5 feet, water inundates some properties and overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek Colverts are beginning to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road.
Additional Details: - At 7:30 PM PDT Saturday the stage was 20.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM PDT Saturday was 20.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to remain near 20.6 feet tonight. It will then fall below flood stage by early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 20.5 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 22.5 feet on 05/12/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
