Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of northwest and west central Washington, including the following counties, in northwest Washington, Skagit and Whatcom. In west central Washington, King and Snohomish.
When: From 1 PM PDT this afternoon through Friday afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - High snow levels, heavy rainfall, and snowmelt runoff will lead to rises on area rivers with flooding possible. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Washington Snoqualmie River Near Snoqualmie Falls affecting King County. .Heavy rain over the Central Cascades combined with high snow levels will push the Snoqualmie River near Snoqualmie Falls above flood stage today.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Snoqualmie River near Snoqualmie Falls.
When: From this afternoon to late Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 20,000.0 cfs, the Snoqualmie River will cause widespread flooding of pasture lands and roads along the river from the town of Snoqualmie downstream through Fall City. Roads that may become flooded include Fall City-CarnationTolt Hill and Novelty Flats Roads. This river level on the Snoqualmie corresponds roughly to a phase 3 flood in the King County flood system.
Additional Details: - At 4:30 AM PDT Wednesday the flow was 14,800.0 cfs. - Flood flow is 20,000.0 cfs. - ForecastThe river is expected to reach flood stage around noon today. The river will crest near 24,300 cfs late this afternoon or this evening. The river could recede below flood stage Thursday then rise back above flood stage Friday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
