Description

What: Snow. Total accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
Where: Craig County.
When: Until 1 PM EST Sunday.
Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Additional Details: Strong winds Saturday night into Sunday will result in blowing and drifting snowreducing visibility at times.

Recommended Action

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Due to the cold, persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat.
