Snow Squall Warning

Description

The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Snow Squall Warning for Central Lamoille County in northwestern Vermont Southwestern Orleans County in northeastern Vermont East central Chittenden County in northwestern Vermont North central Washington County in central Vermont Until 545 PM EST. At 441 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located over Underhill State Park, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard: Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are expected to develop rapidly in the warning area. Locations impacted include Morrisville, Johnson Village, Underhill, Jericho, Morrisville Village, Stowe, Johnson, Hyde Park, Underhill State Park, Craftsbury, Morristown, Hyde Park Village, Wolcott, Elmore, Cambridge, Worcester, Eden, Bolton, Waterbury, and Garfield.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden whiteout conditions.
