The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Central Bexar County in south central Texa
S: Until 115 AM CDT. At 1002 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include San Antonio, Schertz, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, San Antonio Int Airport, Stinson Municipal Airport, Randolph AFB, Leon Valley, Helotes, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, Cross Mountain, Olmos Park and St. Hedwig.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Severe Thunderstorm Watch
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 245 IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT WEDNESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS BEXAR DEWITT GONZALES GUADALUPE KARNES LAVACA WILSON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CUERO, FLORESVILLE, GONZALES, HALLETTSVILLE, KARNES CITY, SAN ANTONIO, AND SEGUIN.
Flood Watch
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, Llano, Medina, Real, Travis, Uvalde, Val Verde and Williamson.
When: Until 8 AM CDT Wednesday.
Impacts: There is a potential for life threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing high rainfall rates which could quickly lead to flooding across the watch area. Be especially cautious as creeks, streams, and rivers may rise out of their banks quickly. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated amounts up to 5 inches are possible for the duration of the Flood Watch. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Special Weather Statement
At 931 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Holland to Timberwood Park. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Kyle, Seguin, Taylor, Buda, Boerne, Lockhart, Elgin, Bastrop, Luling, Giddings, Smithville, Dripping Springs, and Wimberley.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for south central Texas.

When: Until 1245 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 939 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include San Antonio, Schertz, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Boerne, Pleasanton, Selma, Devine, Poteet, Castroville, Stinson Municipal Airport, San Antonio Int Airport, Randolph AFB, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kirby and Alamo Heights. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Tornado Warning
At 1015 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Zuehl, or near Cibolo, moving east at 35 mph.
Hazard: Tornado.

Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Cibolo, St. Hedwig, New Berlin, and Zuehl around 1020 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Friendly Corner.
