The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texa S: Louisiana Sabine River Near Deweyville Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. What: Minor flooding is forecast. Where: Sabine River near Deweyville. When: From this evening to early Monday morning. Impacts: At 24.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur. Additional Details: - At 6:45 AM CST Friday the stage was 23.8 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 24.2 feet tomorrow evening. Cold Weather Advisory

Description

What: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 11 expected. For the Freeze Watch, a hard freeze with temperatures as low as 18 possible.
Where: Portions of central, southwest, and west central Louisiana and southeast Texas.
When: For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 2 AM Saturday to 10 AM CST Sunday. For the Freeze Watch, from Saturday evening through Sunday morning.
Impacts: Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Recommended Action

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
