Flood Watch
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of the I-35 Corridor and Coastal Plains, including the following counties, Bastrop, Caldwell, Comal, De Witt, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Lavaca, Lee, Travis and Williamson.
When: Through 7am Monday morning.
Impacts: There is a potential for LIFE-THREATENING flooding somewhere in the watch area. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details: - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated amounts of 5 to 10 inches possible in a short amount of time. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
Flash Flood Warning
At 1250 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Schulenburg, Flatonia, Moulton, Engle, Komensky, Moravia, High Hill, Newtonville and Dubina. 4.91 inches of rain has fallen in the last 2 hours at Moulton, with nearly 4 inches of that in the past hour.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
Special Weather Statement
At 107 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Schulenburg, moving northeast at 15 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include Schulenburg, Fayetteville, Swiss Alp, Ellinger, Dubina, Ammannsville, High Hill, Rek Hill, Mullins Prairie, and Holman.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Flood Advisory
What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, and Lavaca.
When: Until 215 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Additional Details: - At 1105 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Hallettsville, Shiner, Flatonia, Moulton, Waelder, Smiley, Hochheim, Cheapside, Westhoff, Ezzell, Palmeto State Park, Thomaston, Cistern, Sublime, Dreyer, Glaze City and Dilworth. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
