Flood Watch
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of the I-35 Corridor and Coastal Plains, including the following counties, Bastrop, Caldwell, Comal, De Witt, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Lavaca, Lee, Travis and Williamson.
When: Through 7am Monday morning.
Impacts: There is a potential for LIFE-THREATENING flooding somewhere in the watch area. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details: - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated amounts of 5 to 10 inches possible in a short amount of time. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Flash Flood Warning
At 1221 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Gonzales, Shiner, Hochheim, Cheapside, Hamon, Glaze City, Dreyer, Dilworth, Little New York, Wrightsboro, Nickle and Henkhaus. A gauge in Moulton has reported 3.43 inches of rain in the past hour.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.

What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, and Lavaca.
When: Until 215 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Additional Details: - At 1105 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Hallettsville, Shiner, Flatonia, Moulton, Waelder, Smiley, Hochheim, Cheapside, Westhoff, Ezzell, Palmeto State Park, Thomaston, Cistern, Sublime, Dreyer, Glaze City and Dilworth. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
