THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 164 IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT TUESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 14 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL TEXAS HENDERSON IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COLLIN DALLAS DELTA ELLIS FANNIN HOPKINS HUNT KAUFMAN LAMAR RAINS ROCKWALL TARRANT VAN ZANDT THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALLEN, ARLINGTON, ATHENS, BONHAM, CANTON, COMMERCE, COOPER, DALLAS, EAST TAWAKONI, EDGEWOOD, EMORY, ENNIS, FORNEY, FORT WORTH, FRISCO, GRAND SALINE, GREENVILLE, GUN BARREL CITY, HEATH, KAUFMAN, MCKINNEY, MIDLOTHIAN, PARIS, PLANO, POINT, ROCKWALL, SULPHUR SPRINGS, TERRELL, VAN, WAXAHACHIE, AND WILLS POINT.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Description

At 832 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Quinlan, or 12 miles northeast of Terrell, moving east at 30 mph.
Hazard: Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe storm will be near Quinlan, Hawk Cove, and Lake Tawakoni around 835 PM CDT. West Tawakoni around 840 PM CDT. East Tawakoni and Lake Tawakoni State Park around 850 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Cash, Lone Oak, and Union Valley.
