Description

Observed flooding changed to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Texa
S: Pedernales River At Johnson City affecting Blanco County.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texa
S: Llano River at Llano affecting Llano County.
What: Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Pedernales River at Johnson City.
When: Until tomorrow afternoon.
Impacts: At 19.0 feet, Major flooding makes secondary and primary roads below Stonewall to Lake Travis very dangerous. Low park areas downstream in Pedernales Falls State Park flood.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 24.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling to 10.6 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
