Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: A portion of north central Texas, including the following counties, Eastland, Stephens and Young.
When: Until 530 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Graham, Breckenridge, Eastland, Cisco, Olney, Ranger, Gorman, Rising Star, Necessity, Caddo, Lake Daniel, Crystal Falls, Hubbard Creek Reservoir, Gunsight, Palo Pinto Mountains State Park, Possum Kingdom Lake, Lake Olden, Lake Cisco, Lake Leon and Lake Graham.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
