Description

What: Very cold wind chills as 5 above zero to 5 below zero expected at times over the Valley and Plateau as well as Southwest North Carolina, while values as low as zero to 10 below zero can be expected at times over Southwest Virginia.
Where: Portions of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and southwest Virginia.
When: From 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ Saturday to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Sunday.
Impacts: The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Recommended Action

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
