Description

What: Snow and widespread blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.
Where: A portion of central South Dakota.
When: Until 6 PM CST /5 PM MST/ this evening.
Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow, frequently reducing visibility below a half mile, will make travel dangerous, especially in open country. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

Recommended Action

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
