Winter Weather Advisory
Special Weather Statement
Scattered snow showers producing moderate to briefly heavy snow will impact the area this afternoon. These bursts of snow may quickly reduce visibility to less than half a mile and result in slick roads, increasing the potential for accidents. Use extra caution while driving and leave plenty of distance between you and cars ahead.
Wind Advisory
What: West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
Where: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset Counties.
When: Until 1 AM EST Monday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Additional Details: The highest winds will be on the ridge tops. Snow showers will also be occurring while the wind is strong. That will mean blowing snow and lowered visibilities at times.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
