Description

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Fire Weather Watch for breezy winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
Winds: Today southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph. Tuesday 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
Relative Humidity: Today as low as 9 percent. Tuesday as low as 10 percent.
Temperatures: Today and Tuesday, in the 80s to low 90s.
Impacts: Any fires that develop will have the potential to spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Severity: FUELS (ERC)70th-89th percentile4 (out of 5).
Weather: Near Critical3 (out of 5).
Fire Environment: 7 (out of 10).
