Flood Advisory

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of central and northern Oklahoma, including the following counties, in central Oklahoma, Kingfisher, Logan and Payne. In northern Oklahoma, Garfield and Noble.
When: Until 1230 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 931 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Stillwater, Perry, Morrison, Glencoe, Marshall, Orlando, Lucien, Lake Carl Blackwell, Lake Mcmurtry, Lovell, Sooner Lake and Hayward. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
