Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...Portions of southeast and southern Oklahoma, including thefollowing counties, in southeast Oklahoma, Johnston and Marshall.In southern Oklahoma, Carter and Love.* WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may becomeimpassable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 832 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain havefallen.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected overthe area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Ardmore, Madill, Lone Grove, Dickson, Mannsville, LakeMurray, Overbrook, Burneyville, Russett and Oakland.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
