Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oklahoma Neosho River near Commerce affecting Ottawa County. What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. Where: Neosho River near Commerce. When: Until Friday morning. Impacts: At 21.0 feet, moderate agricultural flooding occurs. Some roads within Riverview Park become flooded including State Highway 125 near the fairgrounds. Additional Details: - At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It is then expected to fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: Heat index values up to 105 expected.
Where: Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma.
When: Until 7 PM CDT this evening.
Impacts: Heat related illnesses are possible especially impacting those not acclimated to the conditions or those performing strenuous activities.

Recommended Action

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
