Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of southeast Ohio, including the following counties, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton and Washington and West Virginia, including the following counties, Doddridge, Jackson WV, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Tyler, Wirt and Wood.
When: Into Thursday Afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Additional Details: - Moderate to heavy rainfall from Tuesday night has left soils vulnerable to significant runoff with any additional rainfall overnight into Thursday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Description

Areas of fog have formed this evening across portions of the area after recent rainfall and some clearing of skies, with dense fog possible in some locations. Fog is expected to gradually mix out later tonight across the area. Visibility will be restricted in any areas of fog and could be as low as a half mile or less in spots. Exercise caution traveling overnight. Please slow down and leave extra room between other vehicles.
