Extreme Cold Warning

Description

What: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 6 above. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 1 below expected.
Where: Coastal Onslow, Duplin, Greene, Inland Onslow, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Northern Craven, and Pitt Counties.
When: For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 7 PM EST this evening. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Monday.
Impacts: Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.

Recommended Action

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
