Extreme Cold Warning

Description

What: For the Wind Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 9 below expected.
Where: West Carteret County.
When: For the Wind Advisory, until 1 PM EST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Monday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.
