Description

Areas of fog will continue to develop and become locally dense over portions of the Piedmont and Sandhills through daybreak. The fog will lift out by mid-morning. If you encounter dense fog while driving, turn on your low beam headlights, slow down, and keep your distance from other vehicles.

Description

What: Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
Where: Piedmont, Sandhills, southern Coastal Plain.
When: Until 10 AM EST this morning.
Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Recommended Action

If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Be especially cautious in school zones and watch for children and the flashing lights of school buses.
