If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working order.

Description

Light snow has developed across the area this morning. Most locations will get less than an inch up to mid day, but 1 to 2 inches may occur for some higher elevations. Despite the snow being light, roads may be slick this morning before improving as temperatures creep above freezing for most of the area and daylight gets stronger. Exercise caution if traveling.
