Water overflows onto Route 5S near Fort Herkimer and farm fields are flooded. Additional Details: - At 3:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 13.9 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early this morning to a crest of 16.9 feet this afternoon. Description

What: Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible.
Where: Hamilton and Herkimer counties in eastern New York.
When: Through this evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Additional Details: - 1 to 3 inches of rainfall have fallen across locations in the watch area. Additional rainfall amounts today into tonight range between 0.25 inches and 0.5 inches. Due to recent heavy rainfall and these additional amounts, the watch continues through this evening in Herkimer and Hamilton counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: West Canada Creek at Hinckley.
When: Until tomorrow afternoon.
Impacts: At 1228.0 feet, Moderate flood stage. Three feet of water are spilling over and there is widespread flooding downstream between Hinckley and Herkimer.
Additional Details: - At 3:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 1228.4 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 1228.6 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 1227.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
