Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in New York Tonawanda Creek At Rapids affecting Niagara and Erie Counties. For the Tonawanda Creekincluding Rapid
S: Minor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Tonawanda Creek at Rapids.
When: From Tuesday morning to early Tuesday afternoon.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Flood stage, lowland flooding of farm areas along Tonawanda Creek between Rapids and the Tonawanda Indian Reservation. Flooding may impact Fletcher, Burdick, Kelkenberg, and Tonawanda Creek Roads.
Additional Details: - At 11:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 9.79 feet and rising. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of near 12.0 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
