Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Description

The Flood Watch will expire for portions of north central Kansas, including the following areas, Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks and Smith and Nebraska, including the following areas, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Dawson, Fillmore, Franklin, Furnas, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Howard, Kearney, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Phelps, Polk, Sherman, Thayer, Valley, Webster and York. The flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch will expire at 7 AM CDT this morning.
