Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Northeastern Harlan County in south central Nebraska Southeastern Phelps County in south central Nebraska
When: Until 900 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Additional Details: - At 642 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported a road closure 3 miles northwest of Huntley due to flooding and the washout of a culvert. Additional roadways may have also been impacted from the heavy rainfall earlier today, and the flood advisory has been extended until 9 PM so law enforcement can further investigate. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain could result in more flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Ragan. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
