Description

What: Heavy snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet expected, greatest on north and west facing aspects. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
Where: Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains.
When: Until 6 PM MDT Friday.
Impacts: Recreation in the high country will become difficult and hazardous. Avalanche danger will increase.
Additional Details: The heaviest snow is expected tonight into Friday morning. Snowfall for north and west facing slopes could exceed 2 feet on the highest peaks.

Recommended Action

Do not get caught unprepared in the high country.
