THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 89 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 11 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI CHARITON GRUNDY LINN LIVINGSTON MACON MERCER PUTNAM RANDOLPH SULLIVAN IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI ADAIR SCHUYLER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BROOKFIELD, BRUNSWICK, CHILLICOTHE, DOWNING, GLENWOOD, GREEN CITY, GREENTOP, KEYTESVILLE, KIRKSVILLE, LA PLATA, LANCASTER, MACON, MARCELINE, MERCER, MILAN, MOBERLY, PRINCETON, QUEEN CITY, SALISBURY, TRENTON, AND UNIONVILLE.

Flood Advisory

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Portions of central and north central Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri, Cooper, Howard and Saline. In north central Missouri, Carroll, Chariton, Linn, Macon and Randolph.
When: Until noon CDT Friday.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 146 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding in the advisory area. A few roads remain closed in Chariton, Howard, and Macon counties. Flooding is expected to continue through tonight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Moberly, Marshall, Boonville, Macon, Brookfield, Fayette, Marceline, Slater, Salisbury, Huntsville, Glasgow, New Franklin, Brunswick, Bevier, Higbee, Keytesville, Bucklin, Laclede, Bosworth and Clark. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
Where: Chariton, Linn MO, Macon, Randolph, Sullivan, Adair, and Schuyler Counties.
When: From noon today to 7 PM CDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
