Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise evenhigher than predicted. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Missouri...Illinois...Mississippi River at Grafton.Mississippi River at Winfield.Mississippi River at Hannibal.Mississippi River at Louisiana.Mississippi River at Chester.Mississippi River at Saverton.Mississippi River at Clarksville.River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecastprecipitation for the next 24 hours.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at Saverton.* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, An access road to riverside raised homeson the riverward side of the Sny levee begins to flood near thislevel.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.7 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stageearly tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 16.1 feet early Fridaymorning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturdaymorning.- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
