S: Missouri Mississippi River at Winfield. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Mississippi River at Winfield.
When: From late Tuesday night to Saturday evening.
Additional Details: - At 11:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 25.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early Wednesday morning to a crest of 26.3 feet Wednesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions change.
